The scale of the school There are 11,246 full-time students, 9,666 undergraduates, 1,475 graduate students, and 105 international students. Since its establishment in the 79 years, the school has always been rooted in the country and serving the society. It has trained more than 50,000 graduates and made positive contributions to the development of medical and health care in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and surrounding areas, and South Asian and African countries along the Belt and Road Initiative.

Scientific research There are 10 provincial platforms, including 3 provincial key laboratories, 1 provincial industrial technology research institute, 1 applied technology research and development center of universities in Hebei Province, 1 workstation of foreign academicians, 2 provincial science popularization demonstration bases, and 1 key research laboratory of traditional Chinese medicine; there are municipal research institutes (popularization bases, creation New centers) 26 and 27 school-level research institutes (research laboratories). Since the 13th Five-Year Plan, 15 national projects and 148 provincial and ministerial projects have been approved, and 127.411 million yuan of scientific research funds have been won. Published 3,711 academic papers, of which 340 were retrieved and included in SCI and 1,512 were published in Chinese core journals. 561 scientific and technological achievements above the municipal level have been awarded, including 15 provincial awards; 49 published works; 54 invention patents have been authorized, including 5 PCT patents and 1 scientific research achievement transformation. The editor-in-chief participated in editing nearly 200 textbooks from more than 40 publishers. The academician workstation of Chengde Medical College passed the national academician expert workstation construction certification in 2019, and was selected as a model academician workstation by the Hebei Provincial Association of Science and Technology in the same year.

Faculty There are 2,068 faculty and staff (including directly affiliated hospitals), including 1,764 professional and technical personnel, 243 senior titles, 562 deputy senior titles, and 1,410 doctoral and master’s personnel. The Affiliated Hospital of Chengde Medical College has two wards, the headquarters and the south hospital area, covering a total area of 218 mu, with a construction area of 250,000 square meters and 2,400 open beds. It has a total of 185 sets of medical equipment worth more than 1 million yuan and 1,266 sets of medical equipment worth more than 100,000 yuan; 33 laminar flow purification surgery rooms are set up; it is a third-class A general hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, rehabilitation and preventive health care.

Foreign exchange Adhere to the opening of schools and expand foreign exchanges and cooperation. International students come from 12 countries.
